WHAT IS AFFORDABLE HOUSING ?
Designed for low to moderate income earners, Affordable Housing aims to address the gap in the market between Social Housing and the private rental market.
Affordable Housing is not the same as Social Housing.
Applicants for Affordable Housing properties may be in a position where their income is too high to qualify for Social Housing, yet they still face financial difficulty accessing private housing.
DO I QUALIFY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING ?
To be eligible to apply for this property, applicants must –
- be Australian Citizens and/or Permanent Residents
- currently employed
- not earn more than the following amounts per year, before tax: One adult – $72 900 per financial year or Two adults – $109 400 per financial year
