Apply for a Scholarship

Tylah West was a young Aboriginal trainee at Housing Trust who sadly passed away in June 2015. These scholarships were created with the support of Tylah’s family, to help remember the inspiring young woman who excelled at her job, worked hard to create a brighter future and left a lasting impact on all that knew her.

The Tylah West Education Scholarships aim to assist Housing Trust residents with the costs of education, training and gaining employment.

Expenses the scholarship may cover include (but are not limited to): School, university, TAFE and academy fees; tools; uniforms; childminding to attend classes; travel costs; textbooks; business clothing; computers and laptops.

Our major scholarship sponsors are South32 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal and Commonwealth Bank.

To find out more about criteria and eligibility refer to the scholarship Guidelines, available below.
