Important Message from Michele Adair 15/04

Dear Tenants

Please see below a video message from Housing Trust CEO Michele Adair discussing the different ways you can pay your rent during COVID-19.

Protection for Tenants during COVID-19

The NSW Government has provided welcome protection for tenants affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

New protections apply to people who have been impacted by job or income losses of more than 25%. This will ensure housing stability for the many thousands of people who have lost work due to new restrictions placed on travel and trade.

Most Housing Trust tenants will not be affected and will continue to pay rent in accordance with the terms of their lease.

All Housing Trust tenants who have been impacted by reduction in their income directly related to COVID-19 should contact Housing Trust on 02 4254 1166 to discuss your individual circumstances between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The most up to date and detailed information is available on the NSW Fair Trading website https://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/resource-library/publications/coronavirus-covid-19/property/moratorium

Kind regards,

Housing Trust
