The Housing Trust Opportunity Scholarship provides a UOW future student with $5,000 per year, over 3 years – a total of $15,000 over the duration of your degree.
Applicants must be living in Social Housing or Affordable Housing in the Illawarra LGA or Shoalhaven LGA, and plan to enrol full-time in any undergraduate degree at the UOW Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus in 2025.

Application Criteria
- Applicants must be commencing study at UOW as a full-time undergraduate student in 2025, at either the Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus
- Applicants must reside in Social Housing or Affordable Housing in the Illawarra LGA or Shoalhaven LGA at the time of application
- Successful applicants must maintain enrolment in an undergraduate degree at either the Wollongong Campus or Shoalhaven Campus for the duration of the Scholarship
- Applicants must complete a form allowing The Housing Trust to contact their housing provider to verify their living arrangements
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder
- Successful applicants must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50
- Applicants must include as part of the application package how this scholarship will assist with their career ambitions
