A safe, secure home can change everything.
It provides the stability people need to focus on their health, family, education, work and the things that matter most. For Housing Trust tenant Megan, having a place to call home has created opportunities to build a brighter future and become an advocate for others who need the same chance.
That’s why Megan has chosen to share her story as part of the Community Made campaign.
Community Made brings together the voices of people with lived experience of community housing and homelessness, highlighting the difference a safe, affordable home can make. In the lead up to the NSW State Election, the campaign is shining a spotlight on the growing need for more social and affordable housing across our communities.
Through her video, Megan shares the impact stable housing has had on her life and why she believes everyone deserves the security and opportunity that comes with having a home.
By sharing her experiences, Megan is helping build understanding, challenge misconceptions and raise awareness of the important role community housing plays in creating stronger communities. Her voice is helping ensure the real experiences of people living in community housing are part of the conversation about housing in NSW.
At Housing Trust, we’re proud to support Megan and other customers who are using their stories to help create positive change.
Every story shared helps people better understand the challenges facing our communities and the difference affordable housing can make. Together, these voices are building support for more homes and brighter futures for people across NSW.
