Book Week Competition 2022

In 1946 the CBCA established annual book awards to promote children’s books of high literary and artistic quality. These awards are now the most influential and highly respected in Australia.

Each year, schools and public libraries across Australia spend a week celebrating books, and Australian authors and illustrators. Teachers and librarians conduct activities relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.

The 2022 Book Week theme is Dreaming With Eyes Open

As firm believers in the benefits of reading books, Housing Trust is running its own Book Week Competition for the following three categories.

Categories:

Category 1: Older Readers prize

Category 2: Younger Readers prize

Category 3: Early Childhood prize

Prizes:

One book each for the winner of each category (chosen by the winners), from the 2022 Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) shortlist https://www.cbca.org.au/shortlist-2022

Your prize will be sent to you in the post. As per entering this competition, winners are required to provide a photo with their prize.

How to enter:

To enter this competition simply pick your favourite 3 books from the CBCA 2020 Shortlist https://www.cbca.org.au/shortlist-2022 and provide details about yourself via the entry form below.

Entries open on 20th August and close 26th August 2022.

Winners of the three categories will be randomly selected and announced on 30th August on the Housing Trust Facebook and Instagram pages.
