Homes for Homes announced $160,000 of grants to support four social and affordable housing projects across New South Wales and Western Australia. This is part of Homes for Homes’ fifth grant round and is the first time funds have been granted in both states. We are delighted to fund these projects:
- Coffs Harbour Support Services (NSW): $40,000 granted to repair an underutilised property for people with a disability after extensive hail damage.
- Housing Trust (NSW): $40,000 granted to support the build of units for older women and women with children.
- Youth Futures (WA): $40,000 granted to contribute to the build of a 6-bedroom property, to be used as short-term crisis accommodation for young people.
- YWCA (WA): $40,000 granted to support the transformation of a property into apartments for older women, family violence survivors and women at risk of homelessness.
Homes for Homes now has granted more than $1.4 million in funds to 17 projects, helping to create housing for 293 people. We thank our community of generous homeowners, donors, the property industry and PEXA for making this grant round happen.

“Unless you have a safe place to sleep, you just can’t turn your life around. This grant means the world to us, it will enable us to double our capacity to help house at-risk and vulnerable young people.”
