Federal election candidates from all political parties will attend the event on Thursday, May 12 at the Cafe Essay in Wollongong.
The Representing Women: Our Federal Candidates on Women's Issues aims to allow members of the community to find out more about policies affecting women including health, safety, gender pay gap, childcare, affordable housing and employment opportunities.
Michelle Glasgow managing director at Women Illawarra said the event was an important opportunity for women in the region to have their voice heard.
She said: "Cost of living is a very real issue for families in the Illawarra and without policies which focus on gender pay parity, affordable housing, child support and employment for women the source of the problem cannot be addressed."
"This forum is a chance for our political leaders to tell us what they will do to provide a pathway for change if they are successful in this election," She added.
